Bug reports/help needed

18 January 2024 - Latest upgrade to the Unistellar app bricks my eVscope

The latest upgrade to the Unistellar app is 3.0.0 (541) which I think enables a Bluetooth connection between your smartphone and your eVscope. My scope is the eVscope 2 and my phone is an iPhone second edition. I'm not sure why a Bluetooth connection is wanted or needed. However, after updating the app it didn't connect as it was supposed to. Even worse, the suggested fall back didn't work, as although my phone connected to the scope's wi-fi network, the app didn't recognize it or respond to it. Unistellar help suggested uninstall the app, power cycle the phone, re-install the app, check everything is allowed, and try again, and if that doesn't work try with another phone. Did that but it didn't help. Currently Unistellar help is thinking ... Anyone else have the same issue, or even better a solution? Aarghdvaark (talk)
